潘锡林野风堂主人，安徽天长人，现居北京。先后就读于中央美术学院国画系、清华大学美术学院,先后受教于陈大羽，贾又福，张立辰，郭怡综，现为美国哈佛大学艺术学院名誉院士，北京大学艺术学院客座教授，中央美术学院客座教授，中国美术家协会会员，中国教育发展战略学会传统文化教育专业委员会理事（教育部），全国艺术职称考级中心首席专家，中国扬州八怪研究院副院长，中国影视艺术中心艺术顾问，中国美协旅游联谊中心理事，中国人民大学艺术学院书画高研班导师，江苏省中国画学会理事，安徽省中国画学会创会理事，安徽省中山画院副院长，安徽省指墨书画院副院长，南京金陵书法院名誉院长，一级美术师，“野荷”画派创始人。被授予【人民艺术家】荣誉称号（中国美术家协会，中国书法家协会，中国人民书画艺术研究院，中国文化艺术人才管理中心主办）。其作品被中南海，人民大会堂，全国人大北京培训基地，中央美术学院、中央电视台、中央党校、福州美术馆、济南博物馆、武汉长江艺术家美术馆、桂林市博物馆，埃及大使馆，南京市档案馆等收藏。 2015 年 11 月应邀在世界艺术圣殿法国巴黎卢浮宫举办画展，作品《雄鸡图》被法国卢浮宫收藏，作品《荷花》被吉尔吉斯总统收藏，作品《荷塘听风雨》被国家博物馆收藏，指墨画作品[无敌]被故宫博物院收藏。荣获国家人事部颁发的“当代中国画杰出人才奖”被授予“百名当代杰出艺术家”称号。被评为“21 世纪最具收藏价值潜力的中国花鸟画100家"、2011-2012当代最具收藏投资价值的中国花鸟画家。 2016 年当选为文化部《中国艺术博览》，中国文联《神州》杂志封面人物，最受市场欢迎的百强书画家，当代十佳优秀花鸟画家。2018 年 5 月当选为吉尔吉斯文化部推选的一带一路丝路文化之旅中吉国礼工程艺术家。被授予【人民艺术家】荣誉称号，【中国美术家协会，中国书法家协会，中国人民书画艺术研究院，中国文化艺术人才管理中心主办】

In November 2015, he was invited to hold an exhibition in the Louvre, the world temple of art in Paris, France.
